I wasn't born here but may as well have been since I moved here when I was in elementary school and have been here ever since (about 35 years).

One of my fondest memories growing up was getting one of those cheap freshwater rod & reel kits when I was about seven. It actually had a Zebco reel and I wouldn't have to fish with my old cane pole anymore. Lucky me!

I fished in ponds around the neighborhood and found one where the bream and bluegill would bite butt naked hooks and called the pond "Quick Bite". Every day I would visit Quick Bite after school until one day we moved close to the saltwater.

When I first started fishing in Saltwater I was about 9 and was immediately hooked. The transition from fresh to salt had a new learning curve, but after a while I started picking up clues from locals and other folks I fished with and BUNCHES of trial and error. I'm still no professional, but I enjoy fishing and fishing with other people.

Fishing, camping, cooking out, horseshoes, poker & board games.
