I was using chum to gather the bait so about 2 cast with a 10 ft net.

HEY MY NAME IS STEVE I'M FROM LAND O LAKES. I USUALLY FISH GANDY OR SOUTH TAMPA BAY BY SKYWAY. I WANTED TO GET A SMALL FISHING TOURNAMENT GOING KINDA LIKE A GUYS POKER NIGHT. HAVE ABOUT A $50 BUY IN AND HAVE 1ST 2ND AND 3RD. I HAVE TWO KIDS SO I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN FOR OTHER FAMILY TO MEET AT THE PARK WE WILL BE LAUCHING AND HAVE SOME SORT OF COOKOUT . I will donate the food since I'm a chef I get wholesale prices. People that do not have a boat that's fine too maybe we can get a list going so you can hop onto someone else's boat. If the price is too high maybe we could do 20$? Let me know what you guys think.  I would like to do this Saturday July 21st

Went down to Ruskin to cockaroach bay on Friday. Started out at 6:30 am trying to catch some greenbacks on the flats with my favorite chum, catfood and jackmack mix . NOT a dang bait in site. I threw the net and got about 200 medium sized pinfish. I put them in my well and went out to the tower in deeper water to try to chum some greenies to the top and not one in site. So i just fished with the pinfish and oh boy did it work. In the first hour we caught 4 snook about 20''- 26'' range just to the left the of channel markers by the mangroves and with a small redfish about 12'' long. We moved around some to a couple of coves i know always hold fish . We caught a nice keeper redfish about 25'' and a another throw back about 17''. We went off shore to the shipping channel and hooked up with a couple big mackeral. Suprisingly still on the pinfish. I used a white Doa with red tail on the flats and caught a couple nice keeper trout and a jack crevelle in the mix.
