Moving to Tampa area
« on: January 28, 2018, 11:00:42 PM »

Do you know any local "Active" fishing forums in the Tampa region. I currently live in Baltimore, Md. and fish the waters there and specifically the Chesapeake Bay. My main style of fishing is from a Kayak and have three of them. My most sought species is the Striper. In about 6 years we plan to move to the Tampa area or Sarasota area. Flexible fishing styles is what I am looking for. I have a Native Propel and Hobie Adventure Island and a Pelican for pond fishing. Which area of Tampa or Sarasota would give me the a wide range of fishing from inshore to river/marsh . I am about 30 minutes from Chesapeake Bay and I can fish ponds to rivers and creeks to trolling for stripers in the open bay. I no 6 years is a way off but this is a big move and decision. I need to research and read active reports for fishing and start the process of looking for a house and work. Big task. This will be my pre-retirement home so I want to get it right.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me or point me to the right forums for "Active" reports.
Thanks John
