I will admit it, I am a wimp who wears fish handling gloves. But with fin spikes and laser sharp gill plates it is a brave man/woman indeed who has no regard for the well being of ones own hand and the digits connected to it, that bare hands fish.
I wear a simple pair of rubber covered gloves like these

There not
Lindy's but they work great. My only complaint is that they are a fish slime magnet. A good day of fishing mean these gloves can give Slimer a run for his money!!

I have tried quite a few things to clean these gloves, dish soap, soaking in a bucket over night, scrub brush and I even once let the slime dry on the gloves for a few days to see if it was easier to scrap off.....All of these cleaning techniques work and eventually I have a nice clean pair of gloves again, but its a pretty tedious process.
The other day an idea hit me, a simple idea.... A
Simple Green idea!
I have used simple green for years in a variety of ways. Mostly I use it to strip the paint off of 28mm plastic Warhammer 40K models, but it is first and foremost a cleaning product.
I sprayed the gloves with 100% Simple Green, no dilution. Putt the gloves on, dipped them in a bucket full of water and began to rub them together using the motion of washing my hands. The slim literally melted off the gloves!! As an added bonus Simple Green kinda smells like black licorice, and it covers up any fish smell the gloves my try to hold on to.
Hope this helps to shorten your after fishing clean up time.
