Sheepies and pomps
« on: December 22, 2017, 10:59:21 AM »
Went last Sunday, managed to put two sexy pomps in the cooler on crabs. But is anyone gonna fish Christmas Eve? And is anyone still catching inshore snapper? (Keepers)

Wow, you really tied into them! I'm new to the area, and still learning, so I only kept this guy plus a few grunts that day:

All of them came in on small live shrimp.

Yesterday was quite a bit better: between my sweetie and me, we tossed back ~40 grunts, 6 small gags, 3 ladyfish, a sailor's choice, and a couple of margates. Most of those were on live shrimp, and about a quarter hit day-old dead ones - but the most interesting thing was when I started pitching Gulp 3" shrimp (Nuclear chicken color): that's when the ladyfish and most of the gags came up.

That kind of action has got me thinking that I like this Florida fishing thing, and want more of it. ;)
